Emergency binder updates

Re: Updates to the On-Farm Emergency Response Planning Guide

In 2017, Ontario Pork created the On-Farm Emergency Response Planning Guide (Emergency Guide).

This year, we are introducing three new chapters;

  • Animal Disease and Disaster Planning and Preparedness
  • Animal Activists, Protests and Trespassers
  • Mental Health Information and Resources

According to our records you have a copy/copies of the Emergency Guide. Please find attached three new chapters to be added to your existing binder.

Producers are encouraged to keep an up-to-date copy of the Emergency Guide at each barn. If you need additional copies of these three new chapters or of the complete Emergency Guide, please contact Ontario Pork Communications ([email protected]) or Industry and Member Services ([email protected]) at 1-877-668-7675 indicating the following:

  • Which you need (chapters/binders)
  • The number of copies
  • Your preferred mailing address

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Frank Wood
Manager, Industry and Member Services
